Emiliano Carrizosa

I build software, and I run the systems behind it. Full-stack web and desktop applications on one side; IT support, security, and infrastructure on the other.

I also have the ability to connect with anyone — thoroughly developed interpersonal skills that let me build client relationships that bridge ideas to results. Based in New York City. Available for IT, systems, and developer roles, and select freelance work.

What I Do

I'm a developer and IT specialist. I build software — full-stack web and desktop applications — and I support and secure the systems it runs on. That combination is the point: most technical support stops at keeping things running, and I also build the tools that make them run better.

Right now I operate enterprise access control systems at Hunter College's Visitor Center, where I was independently selected to design and build the department's first digital training platform — a full-stack application I rebuilt as a secure desktop build and presented to department leadership. I hold a B.A. in Computer Science from Hunter College and CompTIA A+, with Security+ in progress.

I'm looking to join a team in an IT, systems, or analyst role — at a law firm, a financial institution, or a tech company — where building internal tools and automating the tedious work is expected, not treated as a bonus.

I'm good with people, and it isn't luck. I grew up working customer-facing on New York's sidewalks from a young age — about as demanding a service environment as exists. It taught me to read people quickly, stay composed under pressure, and make technical things make sense to anyone.

Services

I take on select freelance work for independent professionals and small businesses — the same instinct as the technical work: figure out what someone actually needs, and deliver it clearly.

Hunter Visitors Center Training Simulator

2025–2026
Commissioned by Hunter College Public Safety, I solo-built the department's first digital training platform and presented it to the Director, Lieutenant, and my supervising manager. Five modules, a 52-question assessment bank, and scenario simulations replicating the EasyLobby interface — shipped as a React/Firebase web app, then rebuilt as a secure offline desktop application (Tauri, Rust, encrypted SQLite).

Access Control & Audit System

Jan 2025
A working prototype — screens and all — of a role-based access control system with tamper-evident audit logging for high-value inventory. Built so a theft investigation that meant hours of manual log review becomes a sub-second query, with behavioral analytics that surface internal access anomalies.

Infrastructure Security Audit

Jan 2025
A 47-page security assessment of a luxury retailer's infrastructure, built from passive OSINT alone — certificate transparency, DNS forensics, SPF analysis — with prioritized fixes and risk quantified against IBM benchmarks and the NY SHIELD Act. Sanitized here; full findings shared under NDA.

Private AI Processing Environment

Oct 2025
An air-gapped Linux environment that runs AI on confidential data with zero outbound traffic — verified by packet capture, not just policy. Network isolation and encryption built for legal, healthcare, and financial work that can't touch the cloud.

A daily-driver Linux workstation hardened with defense-in-depth — user compartmentalization, application sandboxing, browser hardening, and network controls — so a single compromise stays contained instead of becoming a total one.
